Qualifications & Experience Preferred:

  •  Cleaning Experience – motel, hotel, domestic, cabin (Aeroplane),mining camps, hospital, schools, daycare centers, etc.
  •  Support Work experience – home care services, shopping, meal preparation, errands, etc.
  •  Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability).
  •  It’s preferable that you have an NDIS Worker’s Screening
  • Staff also undergo in house online cleaning training (2hours) after which Red Mop produces a certificate.
  • We need you to work autonomously with a cheerful disposition.
  • You must be physically fit & able to carry out the duties of a domestic cleaner and carer/support worker.
  • Must be able to comply with basic orientation tasks, like obtaining a ‘WH&S for Cleaners Safety Card’
  • Must have reliable transport – car with a workable boot for holding the cleaning kit provided & a current Driver’s License.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively with clients in a professional, friendly and respectful manner.
  • Must be consistently reliable, punctual and have an eye for detail
  • Hold and/or be willing to obtain a Police Check.
  • Must have great time management skills
  • Must have a reliable smartphone to enable download of the Rostering App. Basic computer skills required.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Home care services for the Disability Sector
  • Follow job instructions for each client from the Rostering App, supplied by Red Mop
  • Household tasks – clean and maintain the homes of your clients. Creating a hygienic and inviting environment for your client and their guests.
  • Be available Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) as shifts are normally scheduled at least one month ahead. For example, you may be allocated 2 shifts per day, each week. One for 2 hours (9am to 11am) and the next for 3 hours, (12pm to 3pm).
  • Responsible for adhering to the Red Mop Code of Conduct and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain your cleaning kit.
  • Due to the nature of our clientele, it is imperative that they all receive service weekly.
  • Please only apply if you can commit to Red Mop for at least one year, as our clients prefer regularity and consistency.
  • Adhere to all Admin direction, WH&S policy and remain compliant with all training.

  • Minimum of 15- 20 hours per week allocated to each staff member
